The software, which requires a microphone, measures the acoustic performance of the system within the listening room and optimizes playback performance accordingly, providing the most transparent music reproduction possible.
A point of emphasis with the Dirac software is that it optimizes all sound from the computer using any music/media player as well as standard sound output devices. It was designed to be very easy-to-use but also highly precise and without compromise in terms of sound quality and/or flexibility for the advanced user. The suite supports up to 8 channels and up to 24 bit resolution at a 96 kHz sampling rate.
